The Moisture Infused Pork Auditor (MI Pork) Certification Scope has been developed as a scope under the RABQSA Competency-based Food Safety Auditor (CBFSA) scheme to provide confidence to Australian Pork Ltd. (APL) and its customers that all auditors undertaking APL Quality Assurance Program (QAP) audits referencing the Moisture Infused Pork (‘MI Pork’) Certification Standards have the appropriate competencies to ensure that all requirements are being met.
The MI Pork Certification Standards have been developed for Processors, Wholesalers, Retailers and Food Service providers which enter into a license agreement with Australian Pork Limited (‘APL’), or a sublicense agreement with a licensee, to use the MI Pork Certification Trademark in relation to Moisture Infused Pork (‘MI Pork’).
The Standards comprise APL’s specific requirements for Quality Assurance Programs for Processing, Wholesaling, Retailing and Food Service, including delivery, advertising, packaging and promotion of MI Pork.
This scope to CBFSA has been developed by RABQSA in conjunction with APL and representatives of the pork industry in Australia, who formed a Scheme Committee to identify the specific requirements for certification.
The CBFSA scheme and the MI Pork scope have been developed to achieve conformity with ISO/IEC 17024:2003, the international standard for personnel certification.
A summary of certification requirements is provided below. Applicants should refer to the Competency-based Food Safety Auditor Certification Requirements referencing the Scope pages for details.
