Professional Development helps you to remain abreast of developments and advancements within your profession, while adding credibility to your professional status.
Continued Professional Development (CPD) is a requirement of maintaining certification within all qualification-based personnel certification schemes. A record of your professional development activities is required upon re-certification, and can be filed on the Professional Development Log.
The below list provides examples of activities that can be recognized:
- University or Technical College courses
- Training courses provided either in-house or externally
- Attendance at conferences, seminars or workshops
- Association meetings
- Organized site visits/study tours
- Participation in relevant committees and working groups
- Presentations at conferences, seminars or workshops
- Published articles
- Training course instruction
- Developing training course material
- Documented research
Submission of CPD requires evidence of completion of the activity (e.g., verification signature on the CPD log, certificate of completion, attendance/signature sheet). |
